Tank-bottom oil sludge is a listed hazardous waste that refineries pay to landfill or incinerate. Its energy density makes it the highest hydrogen-yielding feedstock in our trials. Sited refinery-adjacent, an Ardana plant converts a disposal cost into a hydrogen revenue stream — and destroys the hazard safely in the process.
